Jamie Giardini grew up in the forests of northern Ontario. She pursued a post-secondary education in Zoology, Earth Surface Science and Social Geography and received a Masters degree in Integrative Biology. Jamie has worked hands on with native and non-native birds of prey and paradise (including owls, hawks, falcons, horn bills, toucans, and others) educating public and private groups on their biology, behaviour and human/environment interactions. Time spent in nature, has given Jamie an appreciation for its meditative teachings, and psychologically benefits. She is spear-heading our Muskoka technology-detox and wilderness yoga retreats program in the interest of helping others learn to balance and maintain inner-well being and connection to the environment in the midst of our current technological revolution.
